BSC has been established in March 2023 by Bep van der Velde after a lifelong working for various shipping lines, vessel operators and agencies.

My experience in the Caribbean region started in Latin America during the early seventies of the last century. For 20 years from 1971  to 1991,  I was active in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Honduras, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama and worked on break bulk contracts.

Since 1996 my work extended in Surinam, Guyana, Trinidad and the Caribbean Islands s.a. Saint Lucia, Saint Martin and Barbados.

During the following 22 years my knowledge extended to many more Caribbean Islands.
